Allyson’s passion for animals began in early childhood with her own family pets and taking part in her local 4-H club. As she grew older Allyson took part in her High School’s vocational agriculture program specializing in animal science which led to her first job which was at a local veterinary hospital. Allyson continued to work in the veterinary filed through graduate school.
In 2009, under the mentorship of the late Christina Leno of Aquila Labradors, Allyson began raising her first Labradors with her foundation dam Aquila’s Brining Up Baby, “Roo”. Along with Christina’s wisdom and guidance, Allyson also gained many overseas contacts, which has allowed her to import dogs from some of the best Labrador breeders in the world.
Allyson now enjoys sharing her love for the Labrador breed with her husband and three children. Alley Rock Labradors is a truly family centered breeding program in which the entire family takes part in raising and caring for their dogs. Allyson’s younger children are an important part in the puppy socialization process and her oldest daughter handles the dogs when competing in the Dock dogs and field work.
